Specialising in real estate sales and professional property management services in the Mildura market, Burns & Co also offers self storage solutions including vehicle, caravan and RVS, as well as a trading arm which buys and sells quality second hand furniture.
This wide range of services makes Burns & Co a “one-stop shop” for real estate in Sunraysia and the Mallee.
Under the careful eye of company principal Ashley Burns, Burns & Co has grown into the market leader it is today by being aggressive, progressive and providing real solutions for our very diverse client base whilst employing a dedicated, hard working and caring staff.
Employing more than 20 staff, the Burns & Co team includes experienced and efficient sales consultants actively listing and selling property, a busy property management department dealing with both residential and commercial properties, a professional in-house marketing team providing all aspects of high quality property marketing including floor plans and quality photography, and of course a very capable team of administration people providing valuable behind the scenes support.
Our services side of the business which includes in house auctions, self storage, removals, garden and maintenance and our trading arm is also well resourced ready to help in any of our designated areas.
From the start in 2001, as a Stockdale & Leggo franchise operating from a tiny 150 sqm office in Deakin Avenue, the business grew very, very quickly and soon relocated to larger, more high profiled offices at 107 Eighth Street, Mildura in 2003 where it’s been home ever since.
In November 2004 the business purchased Brad May Real Estate, a boutique agency with a long standing and loyal customer base which has provided further opportunities for the company.
In 2007 the decision was made to enter the Self Storage business, purchasing the then AJ Self Storage, which became S & L Storage and is now known as Burns & Co Storage. Located at both 40 Seventh Street East and 57 – 59 Eighth Street, Mildura, this acquisition has complemented our business no end providing short and long term storage solutions along with caravan, RV and car storage both under cover and within our secure yard.
Further opportunities occurred with the opening of our Trading shop located at 50 Orange Avenue, Mildura (right next door to our Real Estate office) in 2010 and the commencement of regular in house chattel Auctions in 2012 which are held in our very own Auction rooms at 57 – 59 Eighth Street, Mildura.
In mid 2013 we collectively agreed it was time to remove the “shackles of franchise” and make our own way forward, creating our own culture, our own destiny and of course our own brand hence the creation of Burns & Co.
Fuelled by a passion for auctions, Burns & Co’s famous clearing sale auctions have taken the Burns & Co orange around the country and into new markets.
The company’s reputation as professional and thorough holders of auctions grew after the hugely successful Canowindra Motors auction in October 2016 and auctions at the Cowra War, Rail and Rural Museum in May 2016 and April 2017.
Burns & Co Auctions specialise in deceased estates, collection and museum dispersals with a focus on vintage, antiques and collectables.
The business carries out auction preparation, marketing cataloguing, sale day and delivery.
This arm of the Burns & Co business continues to go from strength to strength.
Our main focus always has been and always will be providing excellent real estate services.
With this in mind our strategic planning going forward will always have us at the forefront of this service hungry industry and will mean the implementation of the latest technology, the very best marketing strategies and ongoing staff training.
